Christopher Kusuhara awarded a Developing Artist grant from Hnatyshyn Foundation

Classical pianist Christopher Kusuhara , a  20-year-old native of Burnaby, BC and a third year Bachelor of Music student studying with Kyoko Hashimoto has been awarded a Developing Artist   grant from the Hnatyshyn Foundation.  The foundation awards grants of 10 000$ to young artists in many disciplines.  The Hnatyshyn Foundation is a private charity established by the late Right Honourable Ramon John Hnatyshyn, Canada’s twenty-fourth Governor General. Its programs are funded by donations from government, foundations, corporations and individuals. The 

Department of Canadian Heritage has provided nearly $2.4 million in matching funds to the Foundation.
