All events are open to the public to attend. Prospective students are invited to perform in the Baroque violin masterclass (10:00-12:00) and the voice masterclass (2:00-4:00). You may request to perform in these classes on the registration form here. There may not be room for all interested students to participate in the classes; Schulich School of Music Recruitment will confirm your participation with you via email by October 4th. Please email any questions about the class to recruitment.music [at] mcgill.ca.
Schedule
Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building at 527 Sherbrooke St West.
Tours
- General Schulich tours will be offered every 30 minutes, starting in the lobby of the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building. The first tour will leave at 10:00 a.m., and the final tour will start at 3:00 p.m.
- A special tour of our Sound Recording facilities will be offered at 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. only. Meet in the lobby of the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building.
A Welcome Centre and an admissions info booth will be open from 10:00 – 4:00 in the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building lobby.

Baroque violin masterclass presented by Schulich Early Music faculty members Dorian Komanoff Bandy and Hank Knox.

**Prospective students are invited to perform in this class. Are you an experienced period performer with your own Baroque bow and gut strings? Are you a modern violinist who would like to try a Baroque instrument for the first time? This class is open to all levels. We can provide you with a Baroque violin and bow to use for the class. Register to perform here.

Performance by the Ambassador Combo, members are current Schulich Jazz students. Prospective students are invited to bring their instrument for the chance to jam with the Ambassador Combo, time permitting. Informal Q&A, performance and jam session. Note: We will provide an amplifier, bassists and guitarists do not need to bring their own. Drummers should bring their own sticks.
