Musical Applications of Technology; B.Mus. (Minor)

Program Description

Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) - Minor Musical Applications of Technology (18 Credits)

Note: MUSR 300D1 and MUSR 300D2 are full-year courses spanned over two semesters. Students must obtain permission from the Sound Recording Area before registering for these two courses. MUSR 300D1 (fall) and MUSR 300D2 (winter) must be registered for at the same time. These courses are restricted to students in the Sound Recording Qualifying Year program.

Admission Requirements

  • Open to all undergraduates in a bachelor program
  • Completion of minimum one semester at McGill
  • Familiarity with computers; preference given to applicants with previous background in music technology or sound recording, computer programming skills and expressed interest in the program
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0

Application

Interested students must submit a musical applications of technology minor application between December 1 and February 15.

Application result is communicated by mid-March.

Successful applicants will have the minor added to their records as of early June after they have registered for at least one course in the following fall semester.
